How local affiliates grow generosity and impact, place by place

In Amery, volunteers with Interfaith Caregivers coordinated rides and errands for seniors and adults with disabilities—simple acts that helped neighbors stay independent and connected.
The New Richmond school district’s Bridges of Belonging program gave students, staff, and families new ways to build connections, collaborate effectively, and reach their full potential.
And in Stillwater, “Ponies Care” engaged youth in service-learning projects that foster kindness, leadership, and community connection.
These moments of community impact are made possible through the grantmaking of our nine local community affiliates—the hometown heart of the St. Croix Valley Foundation.
Each affiliate is led by a volunteer board of local leaders who guide grants, connect donors to community needs, and grow endowments that reflect the heart of their communities.
Their local knowledge and relationships keep us deeply rooted, while the Foundation’s regional infrastructure and investment expertise give those efforts lasting strength. Together, this model—locally led and regionally supported—builds a generous, connected St. Croix Valley, place by place.
Here we spotlight three affiliate stories from FY25, each showing how local leadership and regional support create lasting impact across the Valley. Every grant and leader adds to a story bigger than any single community: a Valley thriving through generosity and impact.
