Enhancing the quality of life in River Falls Wisconsin

The River Falls Community Foundation was created in 1999 to advance the quality of life in River Falls.

Managed by a 100% volunteer board, the Foundation is a community asset –  ensuring gifts donated today will be wisely used to enhance the future well-being of the River Falls community.

The River Falls Community Foundation is an affiliate of the St. Croix Valley Foundation.

River Falls Community Foundation accomplishes its mission by:

  • Building a Community of Donors

    • encouraging residents and others to invest in the community by contributing towards and establishing endowment funds

  • Offering Donors Simplicity and Flexibility in Charitable Giving

    • maximum tax advantages and the knowledge that gifts will benefit our community in perpetuity

  • Accumulating, Managing and Growing Endowed Funds Wisely

  • Directing Income from Endowments to Fund Important Programs

    • that maintain and enhance the community’s quality of life

  • Initiating, Promoting and Supporting Further Development of our Community’s Livability

This year, the River Falls Community Foundation BIG IDEA Grant program will offer up to $25,000 for a high impact project.

Adoray's Treasures From The Heart thrift store received a BIG IDEA grant to provide sewing machines, space refurbishment, and tags and signage to allow the store to refurbish clothing items otherwise slated for landfills and  sell the one-of-a kind repurposed goods -- all to benefit Adoray Home Health and Hospice services.

The COVID-19 Response Fund for the St. Croix Valley received funding from the River Falls Community Foundation plus additional grant funding in support of those within our community most impacted by the health and economic impacts of the pandemic.

River Falls Public Library received a BIG IDEA grant to acquire equipment and materials for the BIG FUN LAB, a creative play space for children and families open during the winter months.

Sporting World (Big Brothers Big Sisters of NW WI/St. Croix Valley Region) received a BIG IDEA grant to establish a storefront on Main Street to benefit kids and families in need with sporting equipment. Stretch your imagination, tap your creativity, and make River Falls even better!

Since 2001, RFCF has invested $135,000 impacting over 100 local projects such as the River Falls School District, ARC, Turningpoint, faith communities, and many more.
