Capacity Building Programs

The Consultants in Service program (CIS), designed by SCVF Board member and nonprofit consultant Gary Kelsey, was established to help small nonprofits (budgets under $500,000) improve efficiency, governance, and community impact by matching professional development needs with volunteer experts.  Due to increased demand, the CIS committee is currently not accepting new applications for nonprofit consulting.  Contact Angie Pilgrim with any questions.

"Thank you for an excellent Board workshop!
Your knowledge and experience that you shared generously will strengthen our Board’s understanding. Your passion for improving nonprofit Boards for the benefit of our community is inspiring!"

"We were energetically engaged for two hours to help with a new mission and vision and so many new ideas on how to improve our organization. So many people came up to me... to say how much they appreciated being involved and also to express their appreciation for the professional guidance..."
