The boards of directors of each partner organization have committed to fundraising goals ranging from $25,000 to $85,000. Beginning November 15, 2006, each organization has three years to reach its goal.
Gifts of all sizes will be matched by the Foundation. Regardless of wealth, donors can make meaningful contributions to an organization’s permanent fund through one-time gifts or by pledging over the three years of the Initiative.
SCVF will match gifts of cash and marketable securities (stocks and bonds) made to an organization’s permanent fund at the Foundation during the three-year challenge period. The Foundation will also accept real estate, life insurance policies and other gifts on a case-by-case basis. Bequests that are pledged, but not paid, during the three year period are not eligible. Donors can also make grants from their donor-advised funds into an organization’s permanent fund. Please contact the Foundation for assistance before transferring securities.
