The St. Croix Valley Foundation’s grants programs are the result of the generosity of many wonderful donors who want to serve the people and the communities of the St. Croix Valley and to maintain the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the region's natural beauty. We rely on donors’ gifts to grow these and other funds to meet the ever-changing needs of our area. A gift made immediately, or through bequests or other planned giving instruments, becomes a lasting resource to fund projects and programs now and for generations to come.

Presently SCVF awards grants through the following grant programs:

Valley Arts Initiative. Projects that increase public understanding of, and access to, an array of artistic activities. - Due Oct. 3, 2011

Music Education. Projects that enhance the quality of school-based music education programs and enrich student’s musical skills and appreciation. - Due Oct. 3, 2011

Health and Wellness. Projects that tackle the challenge of childhood obesity by exploring the interactions between physical activity, healthy eating and the rich, natural resources the St. Croix region has to offer -- its parks, farms or gardens, open spaces, forests, trails, lakes and rivers. - Due Feb. 27, 2012

Other Interest Areas. Projects in other areas, although funding is limited. - Due Oct. 3, 2011;
Feb. 27, 2012

To submit a proposal, first review the guidelines and eligibility requirements for the grant program of interest. Following directions on the application materials, complete and submit eight copies (seven copies and one original) of the cover sheet, proposal narrative, project budget and required attachments by 5:00 p.m. on the dates listed below. Faxed or e-mailed applications will not be considered. Applications may be mailed or delivered to:

St. Croix Valley Foundation
516 Second St., Suite 214
Hudson, WI 54016-0039

A panel for each grant program reviews all requests and forwards their recommendations to the SCVF board of directors for approval. Final funding decisions will be made in December and May and awards will announced by the end of that month.
